Jory Des Jardins has invested over 20 years into launching, building, and scaling disruptive media, digital communities, and emerging tech companies. Today, she serves as CMO of Countable, a Community-as-a-Service platform for engaging stakeholders around custom communities, brand purpose and social impact programs.
Jory pioneered social marketing as Co-Founder and President of BlogHer, a media platform representing a community of thousands of digital influencers and creators. Later, she led marketing organizations for Ethereum venture studio ConsenSys and AWS Startups. She has advised dozens of startups, currently AboveBoard, a recruiting platform for underrepresented senior executives; Digital Culture Works, an NFT minting solution enabling brands and Web2 creators to take place in the Web3 economy; TheJuggl, a women’s wellness platform; and The @ Company, a privacy protocol that enables consumers to own and control their own data. As VC in Residence at the W Fund, she focuses on “Democratizing Tech” that makes marketplaces, tech services, and business opportunities available to underserved communities.
A former book and magazine editor and blogger, she writes two newsletters: This Woman’s Work on LinkedIn, which explores tech trends and culture, and PAUSE on Substack; personal essays on tech, marketing, fairness, and hormones.
